Business Development Associate
As a Business Development Associate at Morningside, your primary duties include generating new clients and maintaining client relationships through sales and marketing. Associates work in a team environment in order to target new markets, develop business, build client relationships, and satisfy client demands. Additionally, Associates may be asked to travel in order to visit clients and attend conferences. The positions require individuals with high energy, an ability to communicate effectively, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates must be ambitious and motivated in their work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong writing skills
- Foreign language skills are a plus
Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager
Morningside’s Project Managers work in a team-based environment. Their primary responsibility is to follow the translation projects through to the completion of their life cycle. Project Managers also participate in sourcing new vendors, developing and implementing testing methods, and analyzing current market technologies and translation tools. Additionally, Project Managers help build client relationships by constantly improving services offered by the department.
This position requires individuals with high energy, strong writing skills, an ability to communicate effectively, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates must be very detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Candidates must also be ambitious and motivated in their work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in a foreign language
- Strong computer and DTP skills
Internships
(Currently available: French, German & Korean Language Interns)
Morningside offers fall, spring, and summer internships to university and graduate school students in our New York City headquarters. Morningside seeks students with a strong language background. Paid internships are available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Candidates will have the opportunity to improve their foreign language skills within a corporate environment by working closely with Morningside’s Project Managers. They will learn to follow translation projects through their entire life cycle and will gain extensive experience reviewing texts. Interns will also participate in sourcing new translation vendors, developing and implementing testing methods, and analyzing current market technologies.
Requirements:
- Strong background in French, German or Korean
- Can commit to at least 10-15 hours per week
- Strong writing skills
