To ensure error-free deliverables, a sound quality process must be proactive, rather than just reactive. That is why we developed QRI – the Quality Reliability Indicator – a proprietary, data-backed quality analytics model that identifies areas of potential risk and prevents quality issues before they happen. QRI’s algorithm analyzes 3 main sources of input: operational data, linguistic data, and audit data. It helps us spot patterns and gives us predictive insights that help forecast future quality levels and trends, allowing for quick course adjustment. QRI is a cutting-edge approach to traditional translation quality management that is unique to Morningside and unmatched in the industry.
Our multi-step Quality Assurance process employs a series of reviews with built-in redundancies to ensure accuracy and precision. Our Quality Assurance process begins with our rigorously trained and vetted translators who are native to the target language, possess academic degrees and expertise in the relevant subject matter, and have years of professional translation experience in the related industry. After the initial translation and proofing is completed, the translation is reviewed word-for-word by an independent linguist. If the complexity of the project requires additional levels of quality assurance, we customize the process to include additional workflows or rounds of inspection to ensure quality.
The ISO 9001 international quality standard applies to processes and procedures for maintaining a Quality Management System. Our QA processes are defined and tracked to ensure compliance. Morningside undergoes annual surveillance audits by an outside agency to ensure compliance.
The ISO 13485 international quality standard applies to medical device companies and their suppliers. This certification is awarded to companies that have successfully implemented a quality management system that meets the medical device industry’s regulatory requirements, with a focus on risk management and strict quality control.
This international standard defines the requirements for the processes, resources and other aspects for the delivery of quality translation services. Certification to ISO 17100:2015 showcases a translation company’s high level of commitment to meeting client and industry requirements.
