ISO 9001:2008

This international standard applies to processes and procedures for maintaining a Quality Management System. Our QA processes are defined and tracked to ensure we maintain the highest levels of quality. Morningside undergoes annual surveillance audits by an outside agency to ensure compliance.

ISO 13485:2003

The ISO 13485 quality standard applies to medical device companies and their suppliers. This certification is awarded to companies that have successfully implemented a quality management system that meets the medical device industry’s regulatory requirements, with a focus on risk management and strict quality control. Since ISO 13485:2003 is not directly applicable to the translation industry, only translation companies that are highly specialized and quality oriented can meet the standard’s strict requirements.

Translator Qualifications

  • 5+ years of translation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) and relevant advanced degrees
  • Subject Matter Expertise
  • Native fluency in the target language
  • In-country residency requirements if applicable

Our process for vetting linguists includes:

  • Initial screening & reference check
  • Targeted linguistic and subject matter testing
  • Mentoring period that includes comprehensive training & review

Dedicated Project Manager

The dedicated project manager is the backbone of the Morningside workflow. The project manager establishes and maintains consistent communication with the client throughout the entire process and is always available to the client for requested changes, questions, and clarifications.

3-Tier Review Process

Our quality assurance policy employs a series of reviews with built-in redundancies to ensure translation accuracy and precision. Should the complexity of the project require additional levels of quality assurance, we customize the process to fit the needs of the client.

Translator Certification & Accreditation

Our quality assurance policy begins with our rigorously trained and vetted translators who are native in the target language, experts in the related subject matter, and have years of high-level professional experience in the related industry and terminology. Our professional translators and editors are accredited by leading translator associations including:

  • American Translators Association (ATA)
  • National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT)
  • Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI)
  • Société Française des Traducteurs (SFT)
